Description: Join the Calgary Council for Advanced Technologies (CCAT) for their next Breakfast Event for an informative panel discussion on the impact of the 2012 Federal Budget on Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SRED) and other R & D funding.

At this educational event, panelists from TSGI Chartered Accountants, the National Research Council-Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) and Venture Alberta will discuss the new budget’s impact on both SR&ED and government funding. Graham Smith of TSGI will provide an overview of the budget as it relates to R&D funding. Robert Faulder, Regional Director of NRC-IRAP and Randy Thompson, CEO of Venture Alberta, will discuss possible implications for startups and other innovation-focused organizations.

The impact on all sources of innovation funding including SR&ED, IRAP and angel/venture investment will be considered. The event will be highly interactive with questions and comments from the audience encouraged.

Cost:
